I have a Mk VII which I started to stripped down some seven years ago, but since then the car was left out side and covered with sheets, the body work are in a sorry state and proof to be uneconomic to restore, therefore I am forced to sell as a job lot or in parts. Many parts are already been restored, others are in good condition, from complete engine to seats, gear box to complete wood trims. If you are interested any of the parts or the whole car, drop me a line or ring 01353 862 348.

My wife and I own a 1964 Daimler V8 - ex DAB 699B, imported to Jersey last year. She is in need of some work to return her to the original but drives and runs well. Last year we did over 1500 miles on holiday in the UK - suffering some overheating, but that's all really. We have been JEC members for over two years and look forward to the magazine every month. This is my first visit on the Web and I look forward to more visits in the future!

I have a '93 BRG XJS 4.0 convertible, one of only 84 manual XJSs built since the '92 update. It is my absolute dream car and my wife loves it too. Unfortunately due to the UK climate, it spends far too much time sulking in the garage! Great website. Great club. All the best to you all.

I owned a beautiful 1953 mkVII with sunroof, bucket seats and 4 speed from 1961 through 1963. My parents sold it while I was overseas in the U.S. Navy. My wife and brothers found a 1954 mkVII M last year and surprised me with it. It was partially restored, has a sunroof, Lucas mirrors, bench seat and automatic. I still love it a lot and it brings back a lot of memories. I am looking for a set of fender skirts, and a rear bumper for it. I would appreciate any help.

I’ve just joined the club and was amazed at how fast my membership was processed. As the bewildered owner of a ’66 Daimler V8 and a ’65 Mk2, both restoration projects, I figure I need all the info I can get and the club seems to provide that. Although, if there are any members in Ireland reading this I’d really apreciate a chat!

Plenty of ancient vehicles in regular use here, but old quality cars very infrequent. New Jaguars are very high status and doing well. I shall return to the UK end of 1999 and reclaim my 3.4 Mk 2 from storage - looking forward to driving a Jag again. The excellent magazine arriving regularly keeps me in touch with things Jaguar. For this many thanks.

I’ve been a member since I realised I could get an "E". I am currently trying to build the history of my white ex-Iceland/ex-Canada/ex-US/ex-UK Series 1.5 E-Type Roadster. Last US-owner claims the first owner (1968) was a Mrs J. Morrow(?) of Coors Breweries. The car was subsequently sold (1971) to an officer of the Canadian Airforce by the name of Poole. Anyone out there with suggestions on how to verify this?

I’ve changed my ISP so I’ve re-registered. I’m a retired Jaguar enthusiast having owned XK120, XK150 drop head, 4.2 E Type fixed head, 3.4 MkI Saloon and 3.8 MkII Saloon. I have been searching for sounds of the XK120 fitted with competition exhaust. Someone in the USA offered me a tape but I guess we lost contact with change of ISP. I’ve got XK120/MkVII, 3.8 MKII and Borg Warner Auto Transmission Workshop Manuals for sale or exchange best offer on Jaguar exhaust sounds. Best Regards Don

If you XJ-S owners haven’t yet bought Kirby Palm’s 400-page book on repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and general information on this magnificent - and maddening - automobile, you’re missing the BEST book I've ever seen on the car. Contact him on the internet at: palmk-at-nettally.com You'll be amazed at what you get. All the little weird problems, as well as the big ones, are covered - plus, how to save big money by using generic parts to replace expensive and unreliable Jaguar items. B.V. Cooper

I have owned my 1953 120 drop-head since 1966. It was great fun and very sound but I put it in my garage 30 years ago intending to fully restore it when my family and finances permitted! Sadly, after a start at disassembling it, it's still there and the garage is now falling down around it. If I rebuild the garage I'll rebuild the car but you could have it at somewhere between £5,000 and £10,000. Any takers? I'm located in Lancashire. Drop me an e-mail.
