Hi folks!
Today, my beloved wife enabled a close encounter of my beautiful XJS convertible with some heavy duty construction machinery, resulting in an ugly dent in the wheel arch (of my XJS). She expected me to be furious. To my own surprise, I was not. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what's wrong with me? No serious comments, please!

Great to know there are so many of we cat enthusiasts out there, enjoyed reading the comments keep up the good work. I have a 1985 XJS HE V12, which unfortunately hasn't turned a wheel in 3 years, however I'M just about to have a go at sorting her out, mechanically very little is needed but the lower bodywork needs work. Does anyone know of anyone in Ireland specialising in this type of work, or at least can point me in the right direction. If not I may have to sell. Please help if you can.

My family currently owns 2 3.8 S-types (1965 and 1966)...we bought them with the intent of restoring them. Unfortunately, we haven't had the time to devote to this project (because of work / school)...they're great cars, and we'd love to sell them to someone who'd appreciate their beauty and historic value...
Please let me know via email if you're interested in buying them (I'm in Los Angeles, California) - cheers

Just found a 1976 Daimler Double Six, Vanden Plas in the corner of a "project" in London, they have agreed to bolt the "missing" bits back on and re-spray it for me. The interior is just as it was when it left the factory, unmarked. Black leather and dark walnut. I won't say what it cost me, but you'd be hard put to buy a Fiesta!

I've been a member for 9 months and recently bought a '93 XJ6 3.2S - great car but has a leak. When it rains really heavy water seems to
collect under the dash (fascia panel) and then when I go round a corner the water surges and comes out either on top of my right foot above accelerator or opposite side on my passenger's foot. This is also accompanied by
a graunching noise but again only when it rains. Anyone any ideas to a solution?? A great club and magazine - look forward to reading about LPG in October issue

I have a 1983 XJ-S HE I don't think I will be able to sell
it fast enuf. I wanted a car not a hobby. So down the road
it is going to go. I really see no reason for the high price
of parts. The XJS was made for enuf years to drive the price
of replacement parts down. I think you people need to
wake up and quit lining the pockets of the guy selling you
parts. I can think of a lot of better things to spend my
money on than a used old car.

After troubles with a 420c some years ago, I feel that I am now lucky to own an '88 XJ 40 Daimler. Vehicle has an interesting history, having been delivered to Singapore, then bought and moved to Christmas Island for two years (how many know where that is) now moved to the Australian mainland and residing in Canberra.
I seem to remember reading somewhere on a website a means by which a titled page could be obtained giving the construction and possibly history and background of an individual vehicle, if you provided VIN number and a small remuneration. Can anybody help with this site, 'cause I can't find it now.
We are all recovering after the Olympics, but what a show.
Best wishes and thanks in anticipation. Phil

I believe Jag owners are at the pinnacle of fine car ownership! My mother owned a 67 saloon model 3.8s some years ago. Her mechanic drove a 67 E-Type roadster. Since those days I always wanted to have either one of those models. Last June I stumbled across a 67 E-Type series 1.5 FHC 2+2. It had been stored since 1992 and was in incredible condition. The owner (who was the second owner since new) turned the car over to me with 41,000 miles on it and all of the original papers, bill of sale, warranty, manuals and so forth. Some work was needed on the brakes and clutch which has now been completed. Minor engine work was done and this car runs absolutely beautifully! Over the summer we experienced no problems except for it appears the head gasket is seeping coolant to the outside of the engine. I am located in Central Alberta around Red Deer and need to find someone qualified to work on this sort of thing. Does anyone out there have any ideas? I sure appreciate your help. Thanks

Hi all, I own a 1983 XJS HE, It has been a very educational
car to say the least. it had 70k on it when I picked it up
in the spring of 1999, That summer I put 7k on it and in
that time I had to rebuild the TH400 trans. I did brakes
on both front & rear, I did the shocks all around.
Then in the fall of 99 it dropped a valve seat OUCH!
Well I fixed it also Now the steering rack is out and
on the work bench, It had a leak so I made up some new
hoses for it, But when I was bleeding the air from
the system the steering wheel pulled out of my hand and
proceeded to turn by itself back and forth and when I
stopped it the pinion seal on the rack blew out.
I am installing a reseal kit into it now.
This year I have only been able to put about 1k on the
car. this winter it will get a fresh paint job,
I hope I have better luck with the car next summer.
Take care.
Joe in Minneapolis.

I drive an '86 XJ-s. Do you have any member activities on the "Northwet" coast (pun intended) of the US?

Always wanted a jag since I was little kid. Today I have a 94 XJS v 12 2+2 conv black with tan int and I love it. This car is my Sunday car so I get to treat myself once a week to a nice drive in the country. Would love to hear from other 94 XJS v12 conv owners.
