Just got a fairly clean 80 Series III XJ6. Looking forward to the snow going
so I can drive it. Restore Austins and Cambridges (used to restore MK I's)
but this one just couldn't be resisted. Like the rest, I paid too much for it

Finally able to sign on. Presently own a 1988 VDP (XJ12), runs great. As the Canadian rep for the club I look forward to receiving mail from our Canadian members (drop me a line)

Still great fun to drive the real cats and hear them roar. A sentiment
and lifestyle unmatched by any other carmaker.

Jaguars, jaguar, Jaguars when will they ever cease to stop making beatiful
cars. The XJS was good but now the XK8 has just arrived with a touch of
XJS and the E-Type in it Want to look for a great place to see Jaguars
then look up www. collection.co.uk
Proud owner of an 85 XJ6, fine shape with 80K miles and few problems.
Interested in finding the source of ticking noise at light load, sounds
like the fan hitting the shroud but local Jag specialist swears it's not.
Also, anybody tried replacing the headliner?

I am a member of JEC and now restoring 1963 Mk. 2. The speed of restoration
is very slow, because I do it by myself.
I visited this site in it's infancy and I must say you have really
done a great job. It's almost as elegant as the cars we drive. Well done.
P.S. To Barry Wilkinson, Your Sovereign (F56 LPL) is still giving me
great pleasure and she's running well. Thanks Barry.

Just bought a ’54 XK-120SE or as we say M. It had just had a body-off
restoration, but had been painted very badly. Am looking forward to correcting
the pain and anything else that need it. Next summer I drive!
We are interested in finding out about how to restore a mark 2 or a
250 V8. Could someone mail us with some ideas.

Recently acquired 68 OTS Series 1.5 in super cosmetic shape, Lots of
(hopefully) minor mechanical neglects. In the process of taking them one
step at a time. Fortunately, it’s driveable; hope I can keep it that way
most of the time.

Twin Cam, Inc., chartered to do "Custom Motorcraft and Software,
" was originally set up to finance the restoration of an aluminium
1950 XK-120 OTS; car later sold, unrestored. Current stable includes a
1951 XK-120 OTS and a 1965 E-Type OTS, which I used to actively campaign
in club racing. Very interested in vehicle mechanics and mechanicals; restored
and rebuilt a number of cars in the past. Member of Delaware Valley Jaguar
Club (& JCNA).

Great site! I have had a 1962 E OTS since 1981. The car was restored
from a wreck in the early eighties and is now used for pleasure drives,
time trials and vintage rallies as well the occassional show.

Am going to subscribe this week as you seem to have a handle on those
almost impossible to find parts. I have a ’70 E-type OTS that I am restoring.
This is my second E-type. The first was a ’64 OTS. I would also like to
invite everyone to visit my home page at http://www.azstarnet.com/~gwcohn
for information about our new E-type (xke) mailing list. We currently have
over 120 members world-wide and have lively technical discussions on everthing
E-type from stripping the body to the correct knock-off hammer for a series
3.

My compliments on a very professional site I am an ex one and a half
E-Roadster owner after having had one for 10+years. (and ex JEC member)
The young family now means a slightly more "mature" vehicle -
so a 3.6 XJ40 is the "hack" and a ’64 3.4 Mk2 the "hobby".
Any fellow enthusiasts in the Edinburgh area ? - delighted to hear from
you / swap stories/experiences/advice. Phil

I drive a 77 4.2. I got rear-ended earlier this month by a Mazda. Her
car was a mess - crushed bonnet, grill pushed back into the motor, both
headlights, bumper bar and both front fenders ruined. Me? all I got was
a 1cm dent in the rear bumper and a slightly bent exhaust pipe - so I let
the other drive live :)

Am a member of the club(recent) and am restoring a very sad and incomplete
120 roadster. Have managed to complete the chassis and running gear and
starting on one very rusty body now. If anyone out there is looking for
a short top roadster frame I have one in exchange for a long top frame.
I can readily make the short into the long but these are harder to find
and seems a shame to cut it up. Great to finally find this site.

I’ve owned my ’55 XK-140 FHC for a year now and have enjoyed the heck
out of it, both in the seat and under the hood. I decided to go a little
un-original and installed an electronic ignition and a modern radiator
after the old one started leaking faster than I could keep it full. Only
getting 11 mpg and don’t think thats very good, especially with all the
new ignition stuff. Anyone got some ideas on improving my milage? What’s
a nice FHC 140 worth now days? Hope to hear from someone. Aloha

As a student studying here in Liverpool, I miss my Jaguar, an XJ6.My
Dad, a Jaguar collecter, has an MKII, E-type & an XJ12. These superb
cars cannot be compared to other vehicles, as Jaguars has a class of its
own.No matter how old it gets, it just gets better! As the saying goes,

My favorite Jaguars are the Series III. I'm thirteen years old and
I belong to the Jaguar Clubs of North America and Jaguar Clubs of Southern
New England. My dream is to own a black 1987 Jaguar XJ6 or Vanden Plas
with a saddle interior. I love the Series III, when Jaguars were real Jaguars.
