Currently drive an entirely rust and problem free 86 XJS with 74, 000 miles and a 305 Chevrolet for power. A magnificent car compared to my MGB and TR-6. Lots of acceleration and a wonderful V-8 tone. Great Website, can be reached for comments on conversion at 206-228-7278.

We are restoring a Jaguar XK150 DHC (LHD) any tips are welcome as is an XK engine. We have got an S-type cylinderhead for sale/trade. Also, we have found a problem with the rear spring. In all publications we found that it should be a 9 bladed spring but we have 8 and 7 blades. Should we replace the springs or is there a reason for this.
[Webman: Can any XK150 owners shed any light?]

Jaguars are by all means the most beautiful representations of art and machine. While some models tended to be quite "troublesome" for our family (i.e. 1988 XJ6), we still remain ardently loyal to the make, as we currently own two 1965 MkII 3.8S s (in the process of restoration) and 1 1994 XJ6. The ’97s sure look classy!

We own a 78 model Jaguar XJ6L. Sadly, the most of it, was lost in a fire and we are now hoping to find a new Jaguar. We will be grateful if anybody help us to find a Jaguar 82-87 model series 3 or Sovereign 4, 2l which is in good or excellent conditioning. We don’t mind if the car have the steering wheel on the right side. Please e-mail us. Best regards to all you Jag-lovers out there!!

Compliments on your site. I finally bought my dream car that I already wanted to own when I was 17 years old. After a complete mechanical restoration, my 1982 XJ6 III runs smoothly every day. What pitty I have with non Jaguar motorists! Ok, you have to take care and maintain them, but what a feeling driving them. Great to see on your site that I am not alone hit by the virus. My first Jaguar wont be alone in the garage for long!

Recent JEC member and a long time member of JCNA/NWA. I own two fully restored cats: 1964 3.8S Saloon and a 1966 Series 1, E-Type, 4.2 liter FHC, both Opalescent Silver Blue/Dk. Blue. I believe the 3.8S is one of Jaguar's most under-rated models, and I would like to hear war stories from other owners. I am in desperate need of a pair of narrow rear wheel skirts for a 1963 3.4 MkII. It’s been fitted with wider wire wheels and tires so now the original skirts rub the tires. I’ve seen the narrow skirts on racing MkII’s. If anyone has any access to these or knows of a supplier please let me know. Thank you.

Hi! I’m now the proud owner of an E-type 1963 model, which is nearing restoration completion. Hopefully it should be on the road by the national day, 17th of May. The car is being restored to its original condition and colours. I have been a member of the club since August 96, and look forward to receiving the magnificent club magazine every month. I also see by the last magazines that there is a local rep. for the club in Oslo, Norway. Perhaps there will be a Jag meet in the near future ?????? Steinar J.

Just signing in to say hello. I am on my second Jag. My first was a 1967 420 and my present one is a 87 VDP V12. I like the looks of the 87 over the 67 but much prefer the simplicity of the 67 over the 87 (engine wise that is). Any one got any ideas of why my ventilation fans only work when they want to?

found you at last. i’m chairman of the island branch of the jec and own a xj6 ser 3.I bought it new in 1984 and it is my pride and joy. it has done well over 100, 000 miles with no major engine faults, in fact the only work so far on the engine has been the timing chains and they had to be looked at when over 93, 000 miles was on the clock. anyone visiting the island look us up, we put on lots of events and happenings throughout the year and would like to have your company.

Me again. I have just signed up to the JEC...well my wife has, as the car is registered in her name so she thinks it's hers - good one eh? If anyone is coming down to Beaulieu Autojumble look out for us in the Daimler. It's BRG and I should have finished polishing it by then. Thanks for the effort in setting up the site. I have a 1959 3.4 Mark 2 which is regularly used and I have just completed a 1000 mile trip this weekend. Upgrades I recommend for daily or enthusiastic drivers are the Harvey Bailey suspension modifications (harder springs, up-rated front and rear anti-roll bars, Konis), XJS rack and pinion PAS, Coopercraft 4 pot calipers halogen headlights and an alternator. Has anyone tried fitting 6 inch wheels with 205/70/15 tyres? I have recently fitted standard wires with 185/80/15 SP Sports but still manage to rub the front tyres on the wings when I brake hard into a sharp bend. The wires have more offset than standard steel wheels. If anyone has tried this modification I would appreciate some advice as long as it does not involve taking a hammer to my front wings!
