Although I have never had an opportunity to own a Jaguar, I have always been intrigued with the idea of one day owning a Mk II, but I suppose the price of a nice one has now gone through the roof so to speak. There aren’t too many left in the USA anyway

I sold my ’64 XKE many years ago. However, I still have a "brand new" trunk pan for it that I never installed. I bought it from the Jag dealer in Poughkeepsie, New York in 1977 (20 years ago) for about 350 dollars. I’d like to sell it. Can anybody out there give me some idea how to do it and what it might be worth today? I think the sheet metal is the same up to ’67 but in case it varied I’ll note that the car was apparently a late model ‘64 since it had a 4.2 litre engine but also had 3 carbs. As I recall all the literature I had seen said the 4.2 litre didn’t come about til ’65 and only had 2 carbs. Thanks.

I bought a SIII XJ6 4.2 about a year ago, and I still haven't stopped smiling. Quite expensive to maintain and run, but well worth it. I have been offered a '83 XJS V12 (80k) for £400, it needs the rear brakes fixing, but is otherwise pretty good. Is it worth it, how much is it worth?

I have a ’67 3.8 MK2 MOD that is presently undergoing a body rebuild. Jaguars have always been of interest since the 50’s. I used to watch author Dame Ngaio Marsh’s XK boom past me on my bicycle. I will send you a picture in the near future of my MK2. I belong to the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club Hutt Valley Inc, which incidentally was formed as the first JEC in the world. Your club wrote to us asking permission to use the same name. This was granted. Please refer to your old minutes and correspondence. All the best and happy motoring, Bernard

I’m considering purchasing a 1959 XK150 that has reportedly been completely restored. I don’t know a great deal about the XK series, except that I love the look and this one appears to be in excellent condition. If I elect to pursue this purchase, can anyone recommend a good mechanic or experienced jag enthusiast who could look the car over and give me an experienced assessment as to the quality of the restoration and the car itself? Thank you in advance for your help. Also, any suggestions on good mechanics to repair and maintain the car in the Phoenix area (it would be helpful if he/she also worked on Morgans)
