Welcome to the 'Host Region' of both the JEC 2019 and 2021 Jaguar Summer Festivals

The JEC's Oxfordshire Region was officially launched In June 2018, after a ceremonial cake cutting celebration at Bicester Heritage's Flywheel Festival. We are an extremely active and ambitious region. We've already met more than 160 times with more than 20 members at each event. Many of our events attract JEC Members from many other Regions, far and wide, and all such visitors are always most welcome.

Membership continues to be growing fast, with some 70+ subscribers and personal contact with, and engagement by, significantly more than half of the JEC members across Oxfordshire, Eastern Gloucestershire & the fringes of Swindon & Aylesbury. You would be more than welcome to join us.

We typically hold at least 2 meetings a month, very often 3 and a few times 5 ! These take place right around the shire and are made up of drive-outs, talks, visits, 'open nights' and more. Our 2023-24 programme saw us focus on even bigger and better events, with some top flight speakers, trips away and providing significant & vital support to Club events including at Bicester Heritage, as our 'spiritual home', and the British Motor Museum / Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust at Gaydon. We are already outdoing this in 2024-25.

Over the weekend of 2nd-5th July 2021, the Region was honoured to play 'host' to the, biggest and best to date, JEC Summer Jaguar Festival, with some 35 of us playing our full part in the operation of the event (including the parking of more than 1,500 cars !), providing or supporting major components of it (the Driving Experiences around the BH Test Circuit, entering the Pride and Joy competition, entering the Concours and winning it and providing a drive route to the event from Heythrop Park Hotel). If that was not enough we also set up a lot of it on the Friday and took a lot of it down again on the Monday. It was a VERY full-on, but hugely enjoyable, weekend !

We have regularly hosted other JEC events at Bicester Heritage, such as the Young Jaguar Enthusiasts' Driving Experiences in July 2022, when our Members cars' were a major part of the experiences fleet. This event was triggered by our Region. Annually, we've partnered, some 7 times now, with Mission Motorsport to deliver 'Veterans@Heritage'. Our Members and their Jaguars take Veterans, Dependants and serving military personnel about to, or recently, resettle into civilian life, for passenger experiences. Our partners, the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust always help out, as do Bicester Heritage tenants, with some Jaguar 'exotica'.

If you would like to know more about the region or want to attend one of our meetings then please have no hesitation in contacting us, using the Region Enquiry function on this site, for more information.

About the region

The JEC Oxfordshire Region - one of the most active and ambitious - will again undertake no less than 40 events in 2023-24.

Thank you for visiting the Oxfordshire regional page, a region that will be just 6 years old in June 2024 but which continues to grow fast, with meetings right around the shire, so often just around the corner from you ! And we've a great programme already lined up for 2024 that we know will again draw a very good attendance.

We don't therefore have any one single 'home' and have just one 'fixed' night of the month. That's our 'Open Nights' on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, although the venue shifts. We've so far been out to Oxford, Wantage, Thame, Witney (twice), Henley (twice), Abingdon, Ickford, Banbury (thrice), Frilford (twice), Fulbrook, Radcot / Faringdon (twice), Burford (twice), Cumnor, Long Hanborough (twice), Woodstock, Stanton St. John, Chalgrove, Chipping Norton, Brill and Newbridge. We always pick venues with lots of parking and a convivial space we can occupy, to eat and drink well - as well as allow you to see, photograph and inspect a wonderful range of Jaguars that are owned by our members.

JEC Regions do have to fund themselves. Here in Oxfordshire, our 2024 AGM elected to hold down our Region membership / Subscription to just £20 for another year - making our meetings less than 50p per meeting and delivering more than £65 of value by subsidising many of our events.

See the events pages of the JEC website to get details of all of our upcoming events and their locations. Do also review our news pages to read the reports of the great recent meetings that we've had and that you've missed......

We'd very much love to meet you !!
