GEORGE FOWLER
When I was young I saw my older cousins e-type and fell in love with the car. When I was 22 I bought s series 2 OTS. I sold it later and regretted it immediately. Time went on and I then had the opportunity to purchase another car. I went for a series 1½ which was a bad one. Later that day I saw my current car and bought it immediately. Shortly after I joined the club and the rest is history.

This area is for you!!!
If you want your picture placed here with some words please email George on george_fowler@ml.com and I will add your photo’s. Please limit your text to less than 70 words please.

IAN ALLCOCK
Ian is present club Chairman and so busy organising the club has yet to find another car to replace PRADA which he sold at the end of last year. Here he is seen caught in France test driving an alternative mode of transport.

RICHARD BARWICK
Hi I’m Richard I joined the JEC in 2003 and became a member of the Kent South Region in 2007. I am now publicity manager for the region. I brought my car in 2004 and with the help of my son in-law started work on it in 2005 We have completed a full body restoration and rest is ongoing . I enjoy driving the car and taking it to the club events.
COLIN BOAKES
My 10 year love affair with the XJ6 series3 was doomed to end the moment my wife uttered those words ‘I want one of those, in that colour’! A few months later a ‘Fast Lady’ joined the ‘Sedate Gent’ in the garage. Within a few months he was off, realising he could not compete on looks or excitement.
He didn’t go far; it seems to be a trend, for beautiful bodies to be swapped for cash between local members!

FIONA HERITAGE
We joined the JEC back in 2000 just after we had purchased our first Jaguar a S1 E-type 2+2. We wanted to find like minded individuals with whom to share our experiences and gain advice on restoration and the fun of owning a classic Jaguar. We received a very warm welcome from Kent South but since the region was small we decided to help it expand so that the benefits could be enjoyed by all.

Phil Utting
'Hi, I'm Phil. I have had a thing about Jaguars since I bought a beaten-up but rare
JaguarSport XJR from a friend in 2004. Since then I've had two more XJRs. In early
2007 I fell in love with an XJ-S V12 HE in Diamond Blue. I've called him Merlin as
in the Spitfire engine! I'm now looking for some Browning machine guns for the front!
GRAHAM HERITAGE
This used to be Ian’s car, a 2001 XKR, in FERRARI MODENA YELLOW, the colour was a special-order for the original owner, there is a matching XK8 in the Newbury area and after much tracing for the history of the car it is believed to be the only one in existence in the country, the car is as near as original as possible and has full service history, Ian used to cal this one PRADA! But the children have affectionately renamed her the “Yellow Banana”

Andrew Worwood
Hi! I’m Andrew and I joined JEC (National) in 2009 and Kent South Region in 2010. I have always wanted to own a Jaguar since I was about ten, some 50yrs ago. As time went on my choice narrowed down to the XJ6 and finally the X300.
In 2009 having survived a major operation and taking early retirement in the same year, now was the time to make my dream come true. I purchased a 1997 4.0 X300 Sport. I acquired the vehicle from a showroom in Halifax. When the car was new in 1997 it cost £5 short of £44,000 this was due to the customers request for a few extra’s.

Mick Tillott
I had to wait until 2005 before I could afford the car I first wanted in the 1960s.
Now I am living the dream. The previous owner was a JEC member from Sheffield who
owned it for 29
years. My wife Jacky & I have been members of Kent South since 2007.
